What Brought Me to Yoga
I started practicing yoga when I was 19 because I was studying kinesiology at the time and was interested in all aspects of health and fitness. I immediately fell in love with vinyasa yoga because of its flowing, dance-like qualities. During my 200-hour teacher training, I discovered how much depth there was to the practice beyond the postures, and that was when yoga truly started to positively transform my life.
I'm really obsessed with rock climbing, and I've come to love it as much as my yoga practice because in fact it's a lot like yoga. The lessons we learn on the mat – humility, perseverance, intense focus, and using the breath to calm the mind – all come into play when you're climbing. Besides that, I love swimming and cooking healthy vegan foods.
